Middle School/ Confirmation

For those in 6^th -8^th grade, we begin to grow together as a youth group through monthly events, lock-ins, retreats, and Confirmation. In the past we’ve had events like: pizza parties, faith in film nights, game night, Youth Quake, and retreats for Confirmation. Our Confirmation ministry involves youth in both 7^th and 8^th grade. In 7^th grade, we begin with sermon notes, Sunday School, service to the community, fellowship activities and 2 retreats in January and April. In 8^th grade, we require the same as the year before, but with an additional retreat in September. In the fall of 9^th grade after 2 final retreats in September and October, youth have the opportunity to affirm their baptism on Reformation Sunday. We look at Confirmation as an opportunity for youth to claim what they believe and profess it to others.
