As I pen this article, we are less than 24 hours out from the tragic bombing in Boston at the Boston Marathon. I am coming out of a staff meeting where much of our conversation focused on safety and security here at Christ Church. .

season. ( It is located less than 1 mile directly west of Christ
Lutheran Church - approximately five blocks west of Alum Creek Drive and
1/4 block north of East Main Street.

Open registration begins Monday, May 20. Sign up
as soon as possible because classes with fill up. This Years Theme
is Kingdom Rock! Ages 3 years (by July 1 and potty trained) and
completed 5th grade. Registration will close on June 30th or as

Benfit Luncheon - June 9
at 12:30 p.m.
On Sunday, June 9, it will be our honor to welcome
Bishop Yuri Timofeevich Novgorodov, Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran
Church in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Lutheran Church in Kazakhstan
is one of our global mission partners and as Christianity is not the
norm in that country, the Lutheran presence is vital to the sharing of
the Gospel in that place.
You are therefore invited to a special benefit luncheon to help raise
funds to assist that ministry in Kazakhstan and to hear stories of the
many blessings taking place there.
The cost is $15.00 per person with a maximum of $50.00 for a family.
Tickets will be sold on Sunday mornings and through the church office
beginning Sunday, May 26th.
